BINGHAMTON POLICE UNION ENDORSES JARED M. KRAHAM FOR MAYOR
July 14, 2021
(BINGHAMTON, N.Y.) — Binghamton mayoral candidate Jared M. Kraham on Wednesday announced the endorsement of the Binghamton Police Benevolent Association (PBA), the union that represents rank and file Binghamton police officers.
From the Binghamton Police Benevolent Association:
"Jared Kraham is the only candidate who has the experience necessary to face our community’s complex challenges and make the tough decisions when it comes to crime and public safety.
"Jared also has the courage to stand up for what’s right — supporting the men and women of law enforcement and working side-by-side with residents to build safer neighborhoods in Binghamton.
"For more than seven years as Deputy Mayor, Jared's public safety track record is clear. He has stood shoulder-to-shoulder with law enforcement by supporting common-sense policies, building back manpower after years of cuts and investing in 21st century community policing."
Statement from Jared M. Kraham:
"Public safety is the most important issue in this campaign and an issue that presents a clear difference between the candidates. I'm honored to have the backing of the Binghamton police union. It's by far the most consequential endorsement of this race.
"Binghamton police officers work day and night to protect the residents of our community. We must deliver the support and resources necessary to the officers themselves to support community policing programs to make our neighborhoods safe."
